Ahmed Bawa

Ahmed Bawa "recently served as a Professor and Distinguished Lecturer in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of Hunter College, City University of New York. Professor Bawa has also spent many years in academic administration in South Africa, including four years as deputy vice chancellor of academic affairs at the University of Natal. In 2002 the Ford Foundation appointed him as program officer of higher education and scholarship in the Southern Africa (Johannesburg) Office. Trained in theoretical physics, Professor Bawa teaches and conducts research in particle physics and on social and intellectual issues concerning the production of knowledge in society." [1]
