Alan Luxenberg "is Vice President of the Foreign Policy Research Institute and founder and director of its Wachman Center, which seeks to foster civic and international literacy in the community and in the classroom.

"He is author of The Palestine Mandate and the Creation of Israel (Mason Crest, 2007) and Radical Islam (Mason Crest, forthcoming, 2009), both designed for middle and high school students. The Palestine Mandate is part of a 10-volume series on the Making of the Modern Middle East; Radical Islam is part of a 10-volume series on Islam.

"His essays have appeared in the Forward and in the Jewish Exponent. He has also published in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune.

"He received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in History from Temple University. He teaches grade 7-10 at two religious schools in suburban Philadelphia." [1]
