Biographical Information

Alison joined Care UK plc "as MD of mental health in 2009 having previously been MD of Priory Secure and Complex Care services.

"Alison has enjoyed a successful and varied career within the public and private criminal justice sector, as a prison governor, MD of Prisons and Immigration Services, and MD of International Service Development for GSL (now G4S) advising in Eastern Europe, the Caribbean and the UAE on prison design and operations. She has also worked with the Prisons Ombudsman to investigate suicides in prison, contributed to Lord Bradley’s review on the treatment of mentally disordered offenders and was vice chair of the independent sector procurement forum.

"Alison currently chairs the Independent Sector Mental Health Alliance and is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Group on the implementation of their mental health strategy. " [1]
