Allen Sheppard

Allen John George Sheppard, Baron Sheppard of Didgemere KCVO (born 25 December 1932) is an industrialist. [1]

"Allen Sheppard, a chartered management accountant, worked for 18 years in the motor industry in Britain and Germany (Ford, Rootes/Chrysler and British Leyland). He joined Grand Metropolitan (which has since merged with Guinness plc to form Diageo plc) as a board member in 1975, serving as Group Chief Executive from 1986 to 1993 and Group Chairman from 1987 to 1996. He was Chairman of McBride plc and is currently Chairman of OneClickHR and the Unipart Group of Companies. He is a Chanceller of Middlesex University, a Honorary Fellow and Governor of the LSE, a member of the House of Lords Economic Affairs Select Committee and President of London First. In 1993 he was awarded the annual gold medal from the British Institute of Management."[1]
