"Amanda Bigelow has a well established career in conservation and natural resource management, particularly in the development of regional and river catchment management in Australia and the Asia Pacific Region. Amanda’s skills are in strategic and action planning, and in knowledge brokering in complex cross cultural contexts. Amanda has successfully led multiple stakeholder groups from community, (particularly indigenous and local peoples) government, business and industry to develop long-term practical partnerships for sustainable development in river catchments.

"Amanda’s work is underpinned with a Bachelor of Applied Science, and in 1995 she was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to further develop her knowledge and skills. In May 2006, Amanda joined the International Riverfoundation as the Executive Manager – her passion and commitment is to facilitate a global movement of leaders in the protection and management of the world’s rivers."
