American University

American University, located in Washington, DC, and affiliated with the United Methodist Church, was chartered in 1893 by an Act of the United States Congress and admitted its first class in 1914. It currently has more than 5,000 undergraduate students from the U.S. and more than 100 countries.

It consists of the College of Arts and Sciences, a School of Business, School of Communication, School of International Service, School of Public Affairs, and a College of Law.

Its website states that its radio station WAMU 88.5 "has more than 575,900 listeners and is the leading public radio station for NPR news and information in the local area." [1] [2]
