Amy F. Dunathan

Amy F. Dunathan was named June 8, 2007, by President George W. Bush to be an Associate Counsel to the President and Special Counsel to the President[1] in the Office of Counsel.

Dunathan recently served as an Associate at Wiley Rein & Fielding, LLP, where she "worked directly" with Fred Fielding, White House Counsel since February 2007, "on several projects during her time as a Wiley Rein associate."[2]

"Earlier in her career, [Dunathan] served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Ricardo M. Urbina of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and as Senior Republican Counsel at the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs. Ms. Dunathan received her bachelor's degree from Brown University and her JD from Georgetown University Law Center."[3]

Dunathan was a "Legislative Assistant for International Trade to Senator John Chafee (Republican of Rhode Island), Chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee."[4][5][6]
