"Andrew Marshall is a Senior Advisor for Inter Mediate. Andrew has over 22 years of distinguished international experience with expertise in the mediation of armed conflicts, and hostage negotiations, emergency humanitarian operations and advising governments on negotiation and peacemaking skills. In 1999, Mr. Marshall was a co-founder of the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue (HDC) in Geneva and worked as the organization’s Deputy Director and Director of Programming until 2010. In this capacity he was responsible for much of their diplomatic and mediation work. Prior to founding HDC, he worked for the United Nations in East and Central Africa running field based emergency humanitarian operations as Head of the UNOCHA Regional Office and Humanitarian Advisor to the SRSG for the Great Lakes Region, as a Senior Humanitarian Advisor and Head of Office for UNOCHA in Bujumbura, Burundi, as Program Coordinator at the WFP in Mogadishu, Somalia and as head of the coordinating unit for Operation Lifeline Sudan in Khartoum."[1]
