Balch & Bingham is an Alabama-head quartered law firm which also lobbies for clients.

The firm was founded in 1920 by William Logan Martin, Jr. On its website the company states that Martin's practice "focused primarily, at the time, on the legal affairs of Alabama Power Company, where Martin’s older brother Thomas served as the company’s president and general counsel."[1]

Climate change lobbying

Southern Company, a major U.S. power utility, spent $30,000 on the services of Balch & Bingham LLP in 2008.[2]The registered lobbyist was M. Stanford Blanton.
