2008 superdelegate

This information was gathered by volunteer researchers as part of the Superdelegate Transparency Project on the superdelegates for the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. For more info see the Texas superdelegate tracker or visit the STP homepage.


Boyd Ritchie is the chair-person of the Texas Democratic Party. In 2006, he beat former Howard Dean state campaign chairperson Glen Maxey.[citation needed]

Maxey was recently sighted at the Super Tuesday Obama watch party in Austin, Texas.[citation needed]

Although Ritchie could support either candidate, he is currently publicly neutral. Comparing Ritchie to Maxey illustrates the importance of how progressive activism in off-years could lead to progressive results in presidential years.[citation needed]
