The Center for International Development at Harvard University (CID) “was established on July 1, 1998 by the Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID) and the Kennedy School of Government (KSG) to serve as Harvard’s primary center for research on sustainable international development.” [1]

Ricardo Hausmann, Professor of the Practice of Economic Development at the Kennedy School, became the Director of CID on October 12, 2005.” [2]
