Charles Pratt "the founder of the Pratt Institute of Brooklyn and one of the Standard Oil magnates, died in his office at 26 Broadway at 6:52 o'clock" in 1891. [1]

One of his sons was Charles Millard Pratt and another was Frederic B. Pratt.
