Lee says he will the lower the tax burden on small businesses and simplify the tax code. He also says he will bring accountability to government spending and focus on spending money on programs that are effective. [2]

To create a better U.S energy policy, Lee says he would support exploration of American energy resources, promotion of clean and reliable energy sources, encouraging conservation, and increasing investment in research funding for alternative energy. [3]
Healthcare
Lee supports a market-based approach to healthcare that would give affordable healthcare to all, not a universal healthcare system. He would also support malpractice lawsuit reform and increasing healthcare IT development to bring down the costs of healthcare. [4]

Lee believes that the people have a right to know how Congress is spending their money, and he says he will support efforts to make government more transparent and fair. Lee says this will ensure real earmark reform.[5]
