Christopher Swift

Christopher Swift is a researcher at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, "covering legal and security issues involving Iraq, the greater Middle East and the former Soviet Union. Mr. Swift was previously an analyst at the Center for Strategic & International Studies, where he served as an aide to former U.S. National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski. He has also served as a research associate for Homeland Security at Dartmouth College and a program officer for Russia and the North Caucasus at Freedom House. A frequent writer on international security issues, Mr. Swift has appeared as a guest commentator for international broadcast media including the BBC, CNN and NPR. He holds an A.B. in History and Government from Dartmouth College and an M.St. in International Relations from the University of Cambridge. He is currently a J.D./Ph.D. candidate at Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Cambridge, where his doctoral dissertation examines the nexus between globalized armed conflict and contemporary Islamic militancy."
