Biographical Details

"Clet Niyikiza, born in Rwanda, holds a PhD in mathematics and statistics from Indiana University. He is Senior Vice President, Development with Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Previously with GlaxoSmithKline and, formerly, Eli Lilly, he is credited with development of the drugs GEMZAR, ALIMTA, and ALEVE. Privately, he serves on a task force established by Rwandan President Kagame and some of the world’s best-known philanthropists and leaders. As a board member of NCV, his particular focus is in developing joint business ventures to partially fund and sustain Nibakure Children’s Village. "[1]
