Committee of 21

The Committee of 21—"delegates from the U.S. and its 20 neighbor republics of the hemisphere"[1]—was formed in September 1958 by the Council of the Organization of American States "to study new measures for economic cooperation among the American nations." The Committee met in Washington, D.C., in October and November 1958; in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in April and May 1959; and Bogotá, Colombia, in September 1960.
