"David Montgomery has almost 40 years of media experience, including editor of News of the World, Chief Executive of Mirror Group Plc and most recently as Chief Executive of Mecom; one of the leading European publishing and content businesses.

"David Montgomery has almost 40 years of media experience, most recently as Executive Chairman and then Chief Executive of Mecom, which he founded in 2000. At Mecom he worked on a number of acquisitions to establish one of the leading European publishing and content businesses, delivered substantial cost savings in line with his founding vision and began to develop a new, flexible operating model fit to take commercial advantage of on-going changes in consumer behaviour, which saw particular success at Edda Media in Norway. Between 1992 and 1999 he was Chief Executive of the Mirror Group Plc where he oversaw substantial restructuring and acquisitions culminating in its merger to become Trinity Mirror. Previously he was editor of The News of the World, Editor and Managing Director of the Today newspaper and a non-executive director of Satellite Television Plc (Sky)."[1]
