Biographical Information

"David worked in the BBC World Service for twenty years, specialising in broadcasting to Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka. He headed the BBC Urdu Service from 1977 to 1985 and was involved in setting up the BBC Pashto service in 1981. He is co-Director of the Media South Asia Project, which is based at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies at London University. He writes and lectures on South Asian politics and media." [1]
