Biography

Born in 1952, Lamborn earned both his Bachelor's degree in Journalism and his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas. In 1994, he was elected to the Colorado State House of Representatives where he served until his election to the Colorado State Senate in 1998. He and his wife Jeanie have five children. [2]

2006 election

In 2006, Lamborn ran for the Congress in the district of retiring Rep. Joel Hefley (R). He defeated Democrat Jay Fawcett 59%-41% to take possession of the seat. [3]
