Edward M. Liddy member of Boeing's board of directors since 2007.

"Mr. Liddy joined CD&R in January 2008 and serves as Chairman of ServiceMaster and US Foods. At the request of the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Liddy served as interim Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American International Group, Inc. from September 2008 to August 2009. Mr. Liddy served The Allstate Corporation for many years as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and other senior executive positions, leading the initial public offering and 1995 spin-off from Sears, Roebuck and Co. and guiding Allstate through this transformation. Previously, Mr. Liddy served as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President-Operating of Sears, Roebuck and Co., and as Chief Financial Officer of G. D. Searle & Co. He is a Director of 3M Company and Boeing. He is Chairman emeritus of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and serves on the boards of Northwestern University and the Museum of Science and Industry. He is a life trustee and former national Chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Mr. Liddy holds a B.A. from Catholic University of America and an M.B.A. from George Washington University "[1]

Mr. Liddy served as chief executive officer of Allstate from January 1999 to December 2006, president from January 1995 to May 2005, and chief operating officer from August 1994 to January 1999. Prior to joining Allstate, Liddy worked for Sears, Roebuck and Co. from April 1988 until August 1994. He served in a variety of financial and operating positions at Sears, becoming chief financial officer of the company in February 1992. He was executive vice president and a member of the board of ADT Inc. from 1986 to 1988, and prior to ADT he worked for G.D. Searle & Co., rising over the course of seven years to the position of senior vice president and CFO." [2]
