Edward Snider

Edward M. Snider is Chairman and Co-Founder of Snider Capital, L.P. and serves as the Chairman of Comcast-Spectacor L.P..[1]

Snider is one of several prominent conservatives funding Freedom's Watch, a new White House front group[2][3] which began "a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign to urge members of Congress who may be wavering in their support for the war in Iraq not to 'cut and run'."[4]

Snider oversees the "management of the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers; the National Basketball Association's Philadelphia 76ers; the Flyers' American Hockey League affiliate the Philadelphia Phantoms; the $210 million First Union Center; the First Union Spectrum and Comcast SportsNet. Mr. Snider was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame and serves on the NHL's Executive Committee. In addition, Mr. Snider is a Benefactor and Advisory Board Member of the Sol C. Snider Entrepreneurial Center of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the Institute for Cancer and Blood Diseases at MCP Hahnemann University, the Institute for Objectivist Studies and the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Mr. Snider holds a B.S. degree from the University of Maryland and an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from MCP Hahnemann University."[1]
