El-hak Center for Democracy and Human Rights "is a non-profit civil firm working in the field of democracy and human rights. The Center was established in October 2007 as a direct result of the founders of the Center's participation in the program of "new generation" the Freedom House Organization (USA). Furthermore, the center seeks to consolidate the concepts of democracy, tolerance and acceptance of others as well as assistance in creating new generations of lawyers and journalists who are able to command and control of the process of democratic transformation in Egypt. The Center participated in many activities during the past year, as it has organized 6 workshops for journalists in Monoufia, Dakahliya and Damietta, in the framework of the project of building the capacity of young journalists funded by the (NED) Foundation. In addition Mr. Shadi Amin (the collaboration with the International Republican Institute)." [1]
