Eugene A. Ravizza (also known as Gene Ravizza) is a native of Cupertino (CA) located in the heart of what's now called 'Silicon Valley'. He attended Santa Clara University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. [1]

He founded in 1954 Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) and he still owns 33% of that company. [2]

Mr. Ravizza was a delegate to Republican National Convention from California, 1964. [3]

In 1985, Mr. Ravizza, who still serves as CEI Chairman of the Board, turned the day-to-day company operations over to James Ryley. [4]

An active member of his community, Eugene Ravizza has served on the boards for Catholic Healthcare West's O'Connor and St. Louise hospitals, Mountain View Serra Club, Santa Clara Savings and Loan, Knights of Malta, and Creegan and DeAngelo Civil Engineers. He has been named "Man of the Year" by the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce.

In 1988 the Alexis de Tocqueville Institution (AdTI) was founded in Redwood City (CA). Together with Robert Severns and Bruce Thompson (both of whom died), he formed AdTi's first corporate board in 1989. [5]
