Evelyn L. Rogers was a Republican candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the Senate in Oklahoma. She was seeking the Republican nomination to replace incumbent Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), but was defeated in the Republican primary on July 29, 2008.

Evelyn L. Rogers was born in Pasadena, CA Sept 20, 1952. She went to Pasadena CA Public schools while growing up. She moved to Oklahoma in 1993. She has graduated from the following colleges with these degrees: Pasadena City College Pasadena CA - AA - Nursing, Psychology; University of LaVerne LaVerne CA - BS - Healthcare Management; Oral Roberts University, Tulsa OK - MA - Practical Theology; and University of Oklahoma - MLIS - Library and Information Studies.[citation needed]

Rogers was seeking the Republican nomination to challenge Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) in the 2008 congressional elections, but lost to Inhofe in the Republican primary held July 29.[1] [2]
