Gordon M. Cairns

Gordon M. Cairns joined the board of Origin Energy "on 1 June 2007 and is a member of the Remuneration, Nomination and Health, Safety and Environment committees. He has extensive Australian and international experience as a senior executive, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Lion Nathan Limited. He has held a wide range of senior management positions in marketing and finance with Pepsico, Cadbury Schweppes and Nestlé.

"Gordon is currently a director of Westpac Banking Corporation, Opera Australia and The Centre for Independent Studies. He is also an advisor to Caliburn Partnership and McKinsey & Co and a member of the Asia Pacific Advisory Board of CVC Capital Partners. He holds a Master of Arts (Honours) from the University of Edinburgh."
