Idea laundering

Idea laundering is the process of having a front group or industry-funded organization propose your idea as a way of giving it credibility.

The major difference between idea laundry and a normal think tank is the direct association between the corporation and the group. Think tanks usually work indirectly, with a buffer between their employees and funders, but idea laundries are more like public relations firms, taking money for specific acts.
