James Bernard "co-founded and edited The Source and XXL magazines before becoming National Field Director of the Hip-Hop Political Convention. He was Senior Communications Fellow at Policy Link, where he worked on police reform and economic development and has consulted to Rockefeller Foundation and the Prgressive State Action Collaborative. James was the Director of Field Operations for Project Vote and workshop leader for the National Conference of Christians and Jews. He has written for numerous publications, from the New York Times to the Village Voice, and has appeared on Good Morning America, BET and Larry King Live. He received his law degree from Harvard in 1992." [1]
