Biographical Information

"James Ensor is Principal, Sustainability & Public Policy with BHP Billiton with responsibility for social policy in relation to issues including human rights, Indigenous Peoples rights, anti-corruption and transparency. James is also Executive Director of the BHP Billiton Foundation which works with others to address some of the most critical sustainable development challenges facing our generation... Between 2001 and 2012 James was Policy & Program Director of Oxfam..." [1]

"James joined Oxfam Australia in 1997 and was responsible for managing overseas development projects. He was appointed Director of Public Policy and Outreach in October 2001. Prior to joining Oxfam Australia, James spent seven years with the Central Land Council in the Northern Territory representing the interests of Indigenous landowners. he is a member of the BHP Billiton Forum on Corporate Responsibility and is past president of the Victorian National Parks Association. He has completed the Melbourne Business School Senior Executive Program and the Cambridge University Prince of Wales's Business and the Environment Program." [1]
