James D. Packer "is the Executive Deputy Chairman of Consolidated Media Holdings. Mr Packer was Executive Chairman of PBL from May 1998 to 30 November 2007. Prior to that Mr Packer was the Chief Executive Officer from March 1996 to May 1998. Mr Packer is the Executive Chairman of Consolidated Press Holdings Limited and a director of various companies including Challenger Financial Services Group Limited, Qantas Airways Limited, Sunland Group Limited and is the Chairman of SEEK Limited." James is the son of the media mogul Kerry Packer. James Packer is the Executive Chairman of Publishing and Broadcasting Limited (PBL), which owns some stations of the Australian commercial television network Nine. He also inherited the family private company: Consolidated Press Holdings Pty Ltd, which control investments in PBL and other companies. James is also a director of the Sunland Group and a member of the Foundation Council for the Australian Davos Connection.
