Jeff Reed is the current State Programs & Government Relations Director for the Foundation for Educational Choice. According to its website, “In this role, he helps coordinate the foundation’s efforts to prepare target states for the introduction of school choice. He is an alumnus of the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation.[1]

He is quoted as saying, “Because my role at the Foundation for Educational Choice is coalition building, this concept is at the very heart of what I do: Empower local partners, welcome their knowledge and ideas, measure their progress, and work together toward achieving Milton Friedman's vision of universal school choice."[2]

About ALEC
ALEC is a corporate bill mill. It is not just a lobby or a front group; it is much more powerful than that. Through ALEC, corporations hand state legislators their wishlists to benefit their bottom line. Corporations fund almost all of ALEC's operations. They pay for a seat on ALEC task forces where corporate lobbyists and special interest reps vote with elected officials to approve “model” bills.
