Jennifer Ohman, the Freedom Alliance’s Director of Public Affairs "since January 2004, she has garnered media attention in such prime outlets as CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, The Washington Times, the BBC and the New York Times. Prior to joining [the Alliance], Jennifer was an Account Executive for Shirley and Banister Public Affairs where she created and directed media relations campaigns and press events for more than two years. Ohman has also been described as a publicist for Talon News, which was a conservative online news outlet that employed a reporter who sparked a controversy by asking U.S. President George W. Bush a loaded question. In February 2005, Talon News shut down. [1]

"Hailing from Los Angeles, Jennifer began her career as a reporter for the La Canada Valley Sun Newspaper in 1997. She entered the public affairs arena in 1998 at Jonisch Communications Public Relations Agency, also in Los Angeles, where she served as the Account Executive responsible for tech-editing, writing and marketing. In 2000, Jennifer transferred to JMPR Public Relations where she coordinated press conferences, managed television and radio interviews, and generated promotions in high profile venues such as the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times.

"Jennifer joined Strat@comm Strategic Communications, a Washington, D.C.-based public affairs firm specializing in transportation public affairs, in 2001. In this fast-paced environment, she supported national media campaigns, coordinated press conferences and attended Senate sub-committee hearings.

"Now back in her home state, she and her husband James, a Naval Commander, live in Coronado, California. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations from California State University at Northridge." [2]
