Jody Holmes, Ph.D. Rainforest Solutions Project.

"Jody has worked on rainforest conservation issues in BC for 12 years. She is currently the Conservation Science and EBM Advisor for the Rainforest Solutions Project where she was one of the architects of the recently announced Great Bear Rainforest deal. Her expertise is both as a conservation biologist and political strategist and she delights in working at the interface between science and social change. As a result, she is just as likely to be engaged in solution building exercises with First Nations, government and the forest industry as wrestling scientific hypotheses to the ground with scientists. Whether by accident or design, she has worked almost exclusively with coalitions to effect change. She is presently the chair of the Hollyhock Leadership Institute steering committee, sits on the Living Oceans Society board and is the conservation sector representative on the EBM Working Group."
