According to a brief biographical profile supplied to the National Journalism Center Meroney attended a course in summer 1994 and has subsequently been "producer, Technopolitics (PBS), associate editor, American Enterprise, contributing editor, Forbes FYI, contributor, Los Angeles Times, writer, Wake Forest Critic, Abraham Lincoln Fellow, Claremont Institute, Phillips fellow, published in Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Architectural Digest, New Republic, Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, American Spectator, Human Events". [1]

Meroneyis listed as the recipient of the Robert Novak Fellowship given to him by the Phillips Foundation in 1994.[2] His profile on the Phillips Foundation website lists his project: "A study about the beliefs and opinions of Generation X."
