John W. Thompson

John W. Thompson became a member of the Board of Seagate Technology "in November 2000. Mr. Thompson is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Symantec Corporation. Before joining Symantec in April 1999, Mr. Thompson held various executive and management positions with IBM from 1971. Mr. Thompson is also a member of the Board of Directors of United Parcel Service, Inc."
