Katherine Magraw "is an arms control expert. She presently is a consultant to the Ford Foundation, the Ploughshares Fund and Win Without War. Previously, she was the co-director of the Iraq Media Center for Fenton Communications, a Program Officer for the W. Alton Jones Foundation, a special assistant to the Under Secretary of State and a Foreign Policy Specialist at the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. She has been an adjunct professor at American University, legislative assistant to Senator Paul Wellstone, a consultant to WGBH-TV in Boston. Katherine has a PhD. in Political Science from MIT and graduated from Yale University. She lives in Charlottesville, VA with her husband, Christopher Paine, and two daughters.“ [1]

She has been the executive director of the Peace and Security Funders Group since February 2006.

She also was a Legislative Aide for Senator Paul Wellstone and held several positions in non-governmental organizations.
