Kent B. Alexander

Kent Alexander "is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Emory University. He and his staff oversee the legal affairs of the University and Emory Healthcare. Prior to coming to Emory, Kent was a partner with King & Spalding law firm in Atlanta. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade in the U.S. Attorney's office, first as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and later as the United States Attorney appointed by President Clinton. An Atlanta native, Kent is very involved in the community. He co-founded Hands On Atlanta, a volunteer network of 37,000 members, and he currently serves as president of the American Jewish Committee, Atlanta Chapter. Kent received his degrees from Tufts (A'80) and the University of Virginia School of Law. He and his wife, Diane (a plastic surgeon and budding glass artist), have two wonderful daughters, Nicki and Kayla." [1]
