Labour Middle East Council (established in 1969) campaigns in Parliament and the international community for a better understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian question, and for a just and lasting peace based on international law and UN resolutions.

Funders: LMEC recieves financial support from Trade Unions and other individual donars in the UK. LMEC does not accept any support, financial or otherwise, from individuals or organisations that are racist or anti-Semitic.

Monies received from membership fees also help towards administration costs. LMEC has its own office in the Arab-British Centre in London and has a paid Co-ordinator as well as unpaid voluntary workers.

Whilst LMEC's work is concentrated within the Labour movement, membership is open to anyone who is sympathetic to the aims of the organisation.
