Len J. Lauer
Len J. Lauer "is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Qualcomm Incorporated. Immediately prior to being named chief operating officer, Lauer served as group president. In the role of group president, he provided oversight and direction to the following divisions - Qualcomm Internet Services (QIS), Qualcomm Enterprise Services (QES), Qualcomm MEMS Technologies (QMT), Qualcomm Government Technologies (QGOV) and the Company's mobile TV subsidiary, MediaFLO USA (MUI) and MediaFLO Technologies (MFT).
"Lauer joined Qualcomm in December 2006 with more than 20 years high-tech experience - 15 years specifically in the telecommunications industry. Lauer is currently on the board of directors for H&R Block and the Nelson Atkins Museum.
"Prior to joining Qualcomm, Lauer served as chief operating officer for Sprint Nextel where he directed all of the company's operations to deliver converged media and communication services. By integrating several disparate platforms and processes, Lauer created a new, simplified and cost-efficient management system resulting in a planned 2006 operational expense savings of $900 million for Sprint Nextel.
