Ambassador Linda Watt "is the chief operating officer of the Episcopal Church. She was Ambassador to Panama from 2002-2005 and acting Ambassador to the Dominican Republic 1997-1999. Additionally, during a 30-year Foreign Service career, she served in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador, the United Kingdom, and Russia, and was Foreign Policy Advisor to US Southern Command. A hallmark of Ambassador Watt’s career was her “Marketing America” initiative, highlighting the global leadership of US business and promoting the importance of international engagement by academic, charitable, religious, and civic organizations. Her landmark “People-to-People” program in Panama created multiple partnerships between US and Panamanian nonprofit organizations. Ambassador Watt serves on the Board of Directors of the US-Panama Business Council and she was the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Anglo-American School of Moscow. She holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an M.A. (Latin American Studies) from the University of New Mexico." [1]
