Lord Chadlington

Lord Chadlington (Peter Gummer) is Chief Executive of PR group Huntsworth, one of the global top 15 communciations comglomerates. He is a trustee of Atlantic Partnership. After a brief period as a journalist, Lord Chadlington worked in the City in public relations before starting his own firm, Shandwick, which has grown into one of the largest public relations firms in the world. He has worked extensively in local and national politics for the Conservative Party. He was appointed a Life Peer in 1996 and takes the Tory Whip.

"Lord Chadlington is a former director of Halifax PLC and has written and lectured extensively on communications, politics and public relations. He was created a life peer in 1996. Lord Chadlington is a member of the Nominations Committee." [1]

Chummy land deal

In November 2011, it became public that Gummer bought a property adjacent David Cameron, the British PM, and sold him a plot of land. The transaction was not entered into the Register of MPs interests.[4]
