Marcia Fudge is the Democratic candidate for the 11th Congressional District of Ohio

Marcia Fudge is the Democratic candidate in the 2008 congressional elections for the 11th Congressional District (map) of Ohio. Party officials nominated Fudge as the Democratic candidate for the open seat created by the death of incumbent Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Ohio).[1]

Fudge supports "finding alternative energy sources and would like to force automakers to produce more fuel-efficient and cleaner vehicles." [2]

Foreign Policy

Fudge supports Israel, and says in an article on her campaign website that "our nation must know that we are linked with Israel and must assist Israel in maintaining its standing as an example of what we call freedom." She supports pressuring Iran to stop its acquisition of nuclear weapons, and setting benchmarks for withdrawal from Iraq. She says that it important for the U.S. examine the stability of the Middle East before making decisions about Iraq.[2]
