Michael J. Hershman, prior "to the launch of Civitas Group, LLC, ... was President and CEO of Decision Strategies, an international security advisory firm. Mr. Hershman is internationally recognized expert in the security and counterterrorism fields, with proven capability handling complex and challenging investigative, private intelligence and security assignments worldwide. He is also an expert in ethics and good governance. Prior to launching his consulting firm, Hershman served as Deputy Auditor General for the Foreign Assistance Program of the U.S. Agency for International Development and in the 1970s was a Senior Staff Investigator with the Senate Watergate Committee and then as Chief Investigator for a joint Presidential and Congressional commission reviewing state and federal laws on wiretapping and electronic surveillance. In the 1960s, Hershman began his security career as a Special Agent with U.S. Military Intelligence, specializing in counter-terrorism projects. After leaving the military, he moved to investigations of government corruption and financial fraud for the New York State Attorney General's Office and the Office of the Mayor of New York City."
