Michael Hintze

Michael Hintze is a wealthy hedge fund manager, who is possibly better known for funding various conservative and right-wing causes.[1]

"Founded the London-based hedge fund CQS in 1999, having previously worked with Salomon Brothers, Credit Suisse First Boston and Goldman Sachs. A founder of the Hintze Family Charitable Foundation he is a Trustee of the Institute of Economic Affairs and the Prince of Wales's Foundation for the Built Environment." [2]

He is a funder of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, and was also mired in the 2012 Cash For Cameron scandal , having eaten at Number Ten Downing Street with Prime Minister David Cameron in return for £250 000 [3]. Hintze was also a financial backer of disgraced cabinet minister Liam Fox[4]

Hintze is listed as a donor to Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin[5]
