The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), headquartered in New York City with an office in Israel, is an organization that describes itself as a "volunteer organization that has been at the forefront of social change for over a century. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW courageously takes a progressive stance on issues such as child welfare, women's rights, and reproductive freedom." [1]

  • "All individuals have the right to live in a world at peace and free from terrorism."
  • "A democratic society and its people must value diversity and promote mutual understanding and respect for all."
  • "The continuity of the Jewish people must be assured from generation to generation through Jewish education, culture, values, and respect among all streams of Judaism."
  • "The survival and security of the State of Israel and the establishment of a just and permanent peace are central to the Jewish people and vital to the interests of the United States."
  • "The protection and preservation of the environment are vital to a sustainable future."

  • NCJW's Promote the Vote, Protect the Vote initiative which is designed to secure and safeguard voting rights and encourage voting.
  • NCJW's Domestic Violence Campaign which works to end domestic violence by improving the economic status of women.
