Perry B. Hudson, Ph.D. (High Tor Foundation, President): Plaintiff

Biography

Chemosol was an additive meant to reduce cancer-causing benzopyrene in cigarette smoke. It was rejected by tobacco companies. Dr. Perry B. Hudson tried unsuccessfully to sell the tobacco industry on the product in the 1960s. According to Hudson, "They couldn't say to the public, in effect, 'These diseases we've been lying to you about we now can help you with'" (LAT 7/19/94).
