Philip Morris Management Corporation (PMMC) is the parent company of Philip Morris USA, and provides legal services Philip Morris, Inc. [1]PMMC, with the help of the Burson Marsteller public relations company, made the decision in 2001 to change PM's name to "Altria Group" in an effort to reverse a slump in employee morale and the company's sagging credibility and constant stigmatization caused by its links to tobacco.[2]
