The "Raw Milk Freedom Riders" are a group of activists organized by the Farm Food Freedom Coalition.[1] In its own words, the group "evolved out of the frustration many consumers and raw milk advocates have regarding the FDA’s policy to investigate, spy [on] and raid farmers across the nation who are delivering fresh, raw milk across state lines."

The Farm Food Freedom Coalition was, in its own words, "formed by four woman in response to recent raids on their food clubs,"[2] and during the first action of the Riders they called themselves a "caravan of mothers" or the "raw milk mommies."[3]
