Rice

Rice (Oryza sativa) is a plant in the grass family (Gramineae) that is cultivated for grain. It was domesticated from the wild ancestor Oryza rufipogon. There are two main varieties (subspecies) of rice, O. sativa ssp. indica and O. sativa ssp. japonica.[1]
