Richard Aldous

Richard Aldous is the CEO of the Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Technologies, commonly known as CO2CRC, an Australian government funded research organisation promoting carbon capture and storage as a central solution to greenhouse gas emissions from coal and other fossil fuels.[1] Aldous began in the role in August 2011.[2]

Background

A background note on Aldous states that his "most recent position has been with the Victorian Government's Department of Primary Industries as Deputy Secretary Energy and Earth Resources with responsibility for energy, geological survey, energy technology innovation, investment attraction and the regulation of mining, oil and gas and pipeline development. He has previously held key roles in the earth resources industry in Australia, South Africa, the UK and Zimbabwe and has worked with BHPB, Newcrest, Iluka and Western Mining Corporation. Richard has a PhD in geology and his background includes geosciences, chemical engineering, business development and planning."[2]
