Robert Terra, who has been running the "war room" for the John McCain 2008 presidential campaign, was reported September 17, 2007, to have quit. Terra reportedly may join up with his former boss, "McCain's former rapid response director" Matt David, a spokesman for the Republican White House front group Freedom's Watch.[1]

In 2006, Terra also worked with Matt David (who handled rapid response for Bush-Cheney) and managed the war room for Arnold Schwarzenegger's California gubernatorial campaign.[2]
